Communicable Disease Safety & Contingency Plan
This mainly pertains to Covid-19. TDTU will strictly follow all guidelines set forth by the Province of British Columbia
TDTU guidelines and contingency plans are as follows:
- Only fully vaccinated patrons, staff, contractors and volunteers (associates) will be allowed entry to all TDTU events. This will be ensured by scanning one’s vaccine passport and checking it against ID prior to entry.
- Rapid testing will be available on site. Should an associate test positive, all Provincial Government protocols will be followed. The associate will be isolated, and the government notified. Contact tracing will begin immediately.
- The venue is outdoors, which is a safer place to hold an event when it pertains to Covid. However, TDTU will have a back up plan to move to an indoor venue, should the occasion call for it.
- Should an associate be showing symptoms, or any other symptoms for that matter, the associate will be denied entry and tested for Covid.
- There will be a ‘time out tent’ for any associates needing to take a break and catch their breath.
- There will be medical and security personnel on site to ensure the safety of all.
- Alcohol will be served but TDTU staff reserve the right to cut an associate off.
- There shall be no illegal drugs on the premises.
- There will be a shuttle service to and from the venue to various parts of town. This ensures there is no reason to drive impaired.
The health and safety of all associates is paramount to TDTU and as such, these guidelines are taken very seriously.
